Qigong Workshop
As a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, Ralph has long been interested in
practical ways in which we can improve and maintain our health. Gentle,
oriental exercises called Qigong can make an important contribution to
our self-healing.
QIGONG is the Chinese art of cultivating "chi" energy in the body by
combining breathing, movement and mindfulness. He would like to share
with you a 4 minute fitness workout based on qigong principles, that is
easy and fun to learn and can readily be done at home.
Two sessions will be offered to learn this gentle, but effective
body-mind workout. The first one will cover the basics. The second
session will give you an opportunity to consolidate and fine-tune your
practice.
There is an excellent optional video for those who want support in
keeping focused and motivated in your practice.
This is a unique opportunity to decrease stress and improve fitness,
focus, flexibility, balance, breathing and attitude in only 4 minutes a
day.
Self-Acupressure & Self-Massage Workshop
Self-acupressure and oriental self-massage are hands-on, practical and
free ways to improve and maintain health. They are an integral part of
Chinese Medicine. The workshop consists of two sessions.
The first session will focus on learning three self-massage sequences
that you can use regularly in the morning, at work and in the evening
respectively. They will leave you both relaxed and energized.
The second session will include some simple self-acupressure treatments
for a variety of conditions, such as headaches, backaches, sinus
congestion, the common cold or a weak immune system. A variety of
massage and acupressure tools will also be shown and demonstrated.
